The ""Double Sharp"" design of the steel maintains the cutting edge of a knife for a longer period of time compared to other knife sharpeners. A few strokes on either side of the blade, every time the knife is used will maintain the sharpness and ensure best cutting performance. Carefully hand wash and dry immediately after use, do not place in a dishwasher.
